History of the Company

In 2006, Jonathan Carp, MD, was visiting a friend in Japan. She took him to a Buddhist-run vegetarian restaurant on the outskirts of the beautiful city of Kyoto where he dined on a delicious bowl of noodles called shirataki made from the konjac plant. This is where he was first introduced to konjac.

After discovering the health benefits of this amazing plant-based food and the positive health implications for his patients, he returned from Japan and started Miracle Noodle with his family. 

Jonathan, the visionary behind the brand, launched Miracle Noodle to the US market in a variety of different shapes as a pasta/rice alternative.

Miracle Noodle offers the largest line of shirataki noodles, rice and ready to eat meals on the market worldwide. And now we’ve expanded our line to include a new discovery - egg white pasta.
