Our LUHV Story
The Urban Hydration LUHV story began with a serendipitous connection: a new wife and new husband each quietly struggling with the same skin issues. Psyche and Vontoba Terry shared a passion to find a solution for their dry, flaky skin without resorting to expensive doctor visits or cluttering their bathroom with clinical products that offered more side effects than solutions.
Driven by their shared journey, they embarked on a mission to create something different—an innovative product and a brand that not only looked and smelled good but delivered exceptional results. Urban Hydration was born from their desire to help others feel confident and comfortable in their skin, offering a range of ultra-hydrating products that cater to diverse skin tones, types, and shades.
Beyond skincare, Urban Hydration has evolved into a movement dedicated to making a positive impact on both culture and the environment. The Good Stuff
We've had the standard of clean beauty before it was popular and hip. Realizing that she couldn't pronounce some of the scary ingredients in her body wash is what got our founder, Psyche to really look into only using ingredients that could be found in her kitchen pantry. Years later, we keep that same standard making sure that each of our products are paraben free, silicone free, phthalate free, and silicone free. We strive to use Coconut Oil, Vitamin A, and Vitamin E in just about every product we make. We want you to feel safe using our products on yourself and your family, friends and children, like we do! Each of our items are mom tested and kid approved.
The Bad Stuff
Since the start of Urban Hydration, we have always made sure to bring natural, affordable skincare to you.
Why is selling natural products so important to us?
Most of everyday skincare, haircare, and body products have chemicals in them. Although their effects might not be immediately visible, these chemicals can have a negative long-term impact not only on the skin but on overall health as well.
Here’s a common example: sulfates in shampoos. Sulfates are used to create a proper lather when shampooing hair. Although this may seem harmless and helpful, sulfates actually strip the hair of essential moisture which leaves it dry and unhealthy.
As a natural company, we take pride in our products being paraffin, paraben, polybead, phthalate, and sulfate free to give you the best products without unseen damage.
