The beginning of last-minute, mobile tickets
Tiqets further develops their online booking technology to offer instant, last-minute, mobile tickets to museums and attractions in cities around the world.
2015
The Tiqets app is launched
To make buying, and selling, tickets to museums and attractions a stress-free experience, Tiqets launches their app and supplier portal.
2016
Hello, USA!
Tiqets expands to the US and is awarded the title of Fastest Growing Dutch Startup for the second year in a row.
2017
Tiqets moves into APAC
Tiqets expands to the APAC region, and becomes Reserve with Google’s first tours and activities partner. They also launch their Booking Engine to help venues sell tickets directly on their websites.
2018
A year of milestones
Tiqets raises $60M in Series C funding led by Airbnb, surpasses 1 million app downloads, and hits 10 million ticket sales and 2,000 venue partners.
2019
Laurens Leurink joins Tiqets as CEO
CEO Luuc Elzinga steps into the role of President, and Laurens Leurink joins Tiqets as CEO. First Webby Award nomination for Tiqets Culture Festival, a series of online tours of museums and attractions.
2020
Tiqets teams up with Apple Maps
Tiqets launches Apple Maps integration to allow iOS users to book tickets to museums and attractions directly from the Apple Maps app.
2021
Tiqets partners up with Trip.com Group
This new strategic partnership provides Trips.com and CTrip users with access to the best experiences at over 4,000 museums & attractions around the world.
2022
30 Million Tickets Sold!
In 2023, Tiqets celebrated the sale of its 30 millionth ticket. This is the latest in a series of milestones, including breaking its own record for most tickets sold in a day.
